    Default Bangle clasps?

I have been asked to make some silver bangles, 8 in 2-2.5mm silver wire, easy so far, because this person has such large hands she wants the bangles to be open & closeable, any ideas on what I can do for a clasp?

Why not have a loop of wire at one end and a hook at the other. Simple solution, and easy to do..

Thanks Pat & Theresa but that's not the look she wants, she mentioned a fastening like on hoop earrings, where a thinner wire goes into a tube, but I didn't think this would be suitable for a bangle, am I mistaken, would that kind of fastening work on a bangle?

Does she mean something like this Wendy? http://www.thejewelhut.co.uk/9ct-gol...1.52.1939.html
Not made anything like but would imagine it's a tension thing in which case how would she gets the bangle on and with a fitting like that would have thought it would be as well to be solid. It sounds as if a hinge would be best. Sorry haven't been much help

That would be difficult to do, the only alternative I can think of is to put studs and holes. What about like babies bracelets, that expand one behind the other, they slide open, I have one, if you want a pic.

Hi Pat - just noticed this. Have you ever made a sliding baby bangle? I thought I would try but not sure where to start.

I have made an adult sized sliding baby bangle, but it keeps springing open when I wear it. Any ideas on that?

Meanwhile, I made this bangle with a hinged section that opens. Probably not what she's looking for though.

I wonder whether this sort of fastening would do?
