    Question 18ct white gold colour

Hi, I have a customer who wants me to make an 18ct white gold wedding band to match her antique platinum and diamond ring. There's a choice of three 18ct white gold casting grain from Cookson gold. Can anyone tell me which would be the best colour match. Thanks!

Sara, you need to see the antique ring, because none of us can guess at its colour. Standard 18ct white is a muddy grey, approximately the colour of stainless steel.
Then you need to talk to Cookson describing what you want eg:dark grey, medium, or like silver, with the proviso that you can exchange it if not suitable.

With luck you could hit the bullseye first time. Dennis.

Hi Dennis, I have seen the ring and it is a dark grey steel colour. So perhaps I should try the cheaper option. The description says its not compliant for piercing post assemblies so I assume there is nickel in there. Anyways that's useful to know that the three options differ in tone.

    Thanks
