    I thought they might be laser cut, but I guess too much waste for gold doing that.

    I used to make a lot of name necklaces in the 80's. All were pierced from decent thickness sheet. I think they were popular as I could do Welsh names that nobody could find elsewhere.

    You could make them on a milling machine as well.
