Foredom vs Faro

Does anyone know if a Faro pendant motor hammer head will fit a Foredom pendant motor. Someone has offered me one and I dont know if it will fit. Many thanks in advance.

I don't have any experience with Foredom Pat. I checked online and it depends whether your Foredom has a Euro slip joint or the USA quick joint fitting, see; http://www.ottofrei.com/Foredom-Euro...oint-Products/
If you have the European slip joint then I would think that the Faro would fit OK. I have a Faro slip joint hammer head and it has worked well for me over the past 30 years.

Does it fit in a chuck or is it connected to the cable part of the pendant motor. I have the quick release handset and the one with the chuck. Inside the handpiece is like a tube with a cut-out slot in it. The Foredom shaft end has a lug attached to it, which fits into the cut-out bit. What does the motor end look like, it may give me an idea. Not sure if its worth ringing Suttons in the morning.

The Faro hand pieces clip onto the end of a flex shaft, here are some photos of my Faro hand pieces and the end of my flex shaft fitting shown on the right of each pic, hopefully they explain the fitting procedure, the hand pieces just push on the end and click in place and to release them just press the clip piece on the flex shaft end.
