    Impressive stuff.
How big are the letters, you say you cut them out, how fiddly must that have been, how do you cut out such small pieces, my fat thumbs would have no chance.

    How fantastic your work looks!!

I wanted to have a go carving/modelling wax some years ago (I wanted to do a sculpture from a life model - to be cast in resin) but I couldn't find anyone who could advise me about all the different waxes - all the colours - and what they are best used for. Can you tell me a bit about what you know of them...are any of them soft enought to mould by hand? or do they all need to be carved/melted?

    Lovely ring Nic
I used to have an earcuff made by an Israeli silver artist in a very similar style and wore it constantly for years. Ironically, I finally lost it just over the border in Egypt. I like to think it's part of a nice coral reef now

the waxes we use are a solid mass. There are different strengths in waxes but nothing i know of that can be moulded by hand you would have to go into clay for that. But also there is wax which can be braided and platted if you were doing rope designs etc
