    Default Dehydrator + metal clay

Hi, I'm thinking of using a food dehydrator for drying metal clay, but don't have any idea of how long to let items dry for. Has anyone used one for metal clay and could advise ?

Depends a bit on the thickness of what your making but I tend to leave mine in for around an hour or so - if the clay feels cold to your skin then its still got moisture in it. You will also notice when you are sanding/drilling/inscribing if its still not dry. I always flip my charms after about 5 mins in the dehydrator otherwise the reverse of the charm drags as it shrinks...
