    Default My lads setting...

Having spent 10 minutes explaining the theory to a impatient 10yr old, off he went to set a cz into copper sheet (as I learnt as an apprentice).
Lots of drill skipping/tool slipping & ruined tools here was the result..

It`s certainly set..only by learning tool control, confidence & finesse by replicating the same thing many times can he improve now.
The start of a long road....

Well I advised a career that actually pays, maybe dentistry..but he`ll need to improve his drilling control for that!

he'd still give me a run for my money ;-)
My 6 year old is allowed to 'test' my hammers, but only if he can remember their names. Slightly alarmed a (vegetarian) friend of mine when he dashed in pleading to be allowed to use my 'pig hammer' (hide mallet)

You name your hammers? Never mind naming them, I'm no longer sure of how many I have...!

For 10 mins instruction that's pretty impressive, Chris.

I probably gave a 30 minute lecture to myself, he wandered off to get cracking.

it is for sure set. I think jewellery (making stone setting whatever) would be far more enjoyable than dentistry.

Hehehe! well done to your 10yrs old lad is what i'd say, he's done a much better job than i'd do with a 10 minute instruction

Brilliant Chris,......and of course, don't forget, of the 30 minute lecture you gave, he was present for 10 minutes but only actually listened to 2 minutes!!!!

    Pretty good start I'd say!!

And an incredible achievement on your behalf to get him to be sat and present for a whole 10 minutes
