Post a picture & we can debug it from there. I have 3" scorifiers and they fit that spot on.

That torch - no. You need far more heat than that can deliver. A Sievert works for smaller amounts; my Bernzomatic brazing torch has also been used to cast.

Ok, here's a pic... sure I'm missing something really obvious!

Darn. I was hoping to get away without investing in a big sievert torch kit...it's a space issue more than anything.

Try the edge at the top of the picture?

Pretty sure mine clips onto the lip inline with the handle though.

I'll see if I can find it - it's somewhere in the garage...

Thanks Peter - don't worry if it's load of hassle.

Just to check before I buy - will this be hot enough? http://www.cooksongold.com/Jewellery...rcode-999-AKZ1

I think you will have everything there but that you might need a larger torch head, such as this http://www.cooksongold.com/Jewellery...prcode-999-ALC, to chuck out a larger flame and more heat.....I think I have a spare of this or similar, I can check if consensus is that you need a larger head and you're interested......just let me know.
