    Default Oxidising chain

Hi all, can anyone tell me if oxidised chain marks skin/clothes as it 'wears' and if so, is there any way to prevent this ? I have just done some to match a pendant and am really pleased with the result but I would hate for my customer to end up with a grubby neck and collar Many thanks.

I oxidise a lot of my chains and what I do is gently run them through a polishing cloth. it means that the outer edges are then not patinated but having rubbed patinated silver between my fingers I get a distinct smudge. As the patination would wear off on those areas anyway, I figure I may as well get rid of it first.

Thank you, I thought that might be the best solution but I really liked the very dark patina. I have to admit though, since I've polished it slightly, it does have some lovely metallic blue highlights that look FAB
