    Default bench skin

I saw this bench skin on ebay, not sure if it is big enough, but seems fine, mine is almost worn out. Anyone got a view on this?

I wouldn't have said so Wallace otherwise why show it with the tray underneath, mine covers my knees but then it gets a bit like Mary Poppins carpet bag looking for stuff if I don't clean it out!!

I have used faux leather furniture covering fabric as a bench skin for years, I bought a roll of it years ago and have only had to renew it a couple of times, it's clean and comfortable.

Wish I'd known about that when I bought mine from cookies 10 years ago. It's so thick though it's never going to wear out and it's also seasoned as one of our kittens thought it was a good shape to pee in!!

Is it flame retardant James? I do have a little soldering area on the bench (for small things like closing jump rings on a chain)

I have two cats, but not going to let them start - might come in to a flooded bench one morning

Cup hooks under the bench, eyelets on the edges & corners of the skin.

Wallace, I do most of my soldering at the bench in the area next to the vice, you can see my soldering block and the slightly burnt area on my bench photo, this is the leatherette I bought, as it's furniture covering fabric, I think it has to be fire resistant by law these days. thanks everyone, I am sure others will find this as useful as I have.

I might get a stock of the leatherette as I have two areas I work at.

Fab as always and so appreciated.
