is it just me or does anyone else when they go to a museum or something pretty much filter everything out except the blinginess available?

I spent hours in the British Museum today dragging the poor OH round looking at various stuff of gold and silver. The poor old bones didn't get a look in. Unless they were beautifully carved of course.

The Pompeii and Herculaneum exhibition was good though, but best of all were the curator's talks, which were riveting.

I didn't go into the paid exhibit, need to watch the pennies at the moment. I loved the fact that you can actually handle the exhibits though. I love the BM, Gershwin must have been so jaded....

I have to say that I have never been to the British Museum, so sad actually! Forgot all about it, I guess thanks for the heads up, I'll plan a trip there in the coming weeks.
