ahh, ok, I was hoping for something that would let me etch stuff myself without having to use the horrid hydrofluoric acid.

I'd been wondering what to do with some yellow frit which was part of a mixed pack of glass, so the sun is a perfect topic and it also gave me a chance to play, I mean *experiment*, with transparent etched dichroic glass (the swirly bits) and embedding fine silver motifs (the gulls). Here's the finished pendant on one of my handmade silver chains.

I made this picnic set last summer, complete with picnic rug, glasses and a bowl of strawberries. The lid on the basket opens and shuts and the whole thing stands about 1cm high. I do like to challenge myself sometimes!

Inspired by a sunny day, I hope we have a few this summer too :-)
