Default Help with how to tie this leather knot bracelet?

Hi would anyone happen to know of a tutorial that would show me how to tie these knots on this bracelet pictured? I love the "rings" of leather close to the metal plate but unsure how to begin or secure them in this fashion. I've seen a tutorial for the sliding knot on youtube but I guess if I know how to do the "rings" (im sure thats not the correct term for them) then I will be able to figure out how to incorporate the sliding knot too.

Or even if you can tell me what the technique for making the "rings" is called I can google it myself.

    Thanks!

Hi, I looks like what us Girl Guides called "whipping" or possibly "lashing". I wouldn't recommend googling either term on its own, heaven knows what you'll get! Should be out there though, try searching for knot websites, yes, they exist!
