    Default Polishing with q-tips

I use cotton swabs for polishing with different compounds in my flex shaft. Cut q-tips in half and put into holder.
    Very economical

Not like I polish only with q-tips. Ones I had vintage silver earrings with some clear coat leftovers, and they looked pretty ugly. I did not want to use any of my polishing tools for that cleaning, but I had q-tip on the table.
I sold those shiny newborn earrings on ebay

    Groan.

I've done it too - works great. But I fear my new Dremel is too fast. Last night I had some...adventures...with flying cotton and snapping sticks!

Wooden cocktail sticks work too but if they snap off in you handpiece you've got a real time waster getting them out. Dennis.

I would not do it with Dremel because of that. Flex shaft with speed control so far is one of my best investments ever.
Cotton is not flying much if you cover it with compound well. Of course, it does not last long, but I don't need them lasting long.
What I love about q-tips is their plastic kind of stick, it's not fragile as wood.
