    Default sleek clasps

    Has anyone used these?

http://www.cooksongold.com/Findings/...code-NVF-SH02# I have been asked to attach a few of my braille tags onto a necklace and the customer is basically just leaving it to me, so I thought I'd use the 62/6 plain curb https://www.cooksongold.com/product_...fix=R00&item=3. I loathe lobster clasps and thought these 'shortner' rings would be sleek enough to be a feature, but then I thought, maybe they are actually rubbish.

Any thoughts by folk who've used them?

I haven't used them Liz, but think there was a discussion a little while back about some different types and if I recall, George may know more about them???

I've used them Liz, and they're OK. A bit clumsier than you might at first think, and I don't think they'd fit that curb. If I'm honest, I don't think their roundness would work terribly well with the curb. I don't think they have a very long life, and I ended up making a version of my own when I needed something with that look to finish a bracelet last time. If they're to hang like a pendant, what about using an albert swivel or oval triggerless clasp?

oval triggerless clasps? I saw there was a smaller version as well and I was going to make jumprings to attach the chain to the clasp, but if they aren't really very long lasting, I might have to re-think.
