In all seriousness, I have no idea if that is possible. My metallurgical knowledge is definitely not excellent but it seems unlikely that the low temperatures could somehow burnish away a fault/crack in the metal. I was following this thread before so I'm glad you've been able to complete your piece! Would love to see the pic
