    Well, even with each layer effectively making a cell, I think you'd need an awful lot of layers before you got to something noticable. Thinking about it, I've never actually tasted mokume - wonder if I can detect the current if I do?

    gold is horribly heavy and looks so bad, too...

    did you lick pencil sharpeners as a kid as well?

    PP3 batteries Quick and easy way to check if it is dead or not.
    Nowadays I use a meter. Well, if I can be bothered finding one of them...

    Well, I tried it

    There is a *very* subtle taste to the mokume that isn't there with either copper or silver. Sort of a metallic tang, barely perceptible.

    It is, it's also actually a fairly silly thing to do.

    Far from perfect but learnt allot making them. thinking of trying a washer ring with the next bit and already planning my next billet.
