these are all, like all the others, so very lovely and it is so great to have so many entries this month. I agree with Dennis, we should be able to get these all lined up in the entry thread to view as a complete range.

I just like the understated elegance, Peter.
As for washers, an engineer has to do, what an engineer has to do.
Did you cut it with a disk cutter, or turn it on a lathe, or both?

Forged flat strip, bent on the edge and trued up on a ring mandrel. What I want to try is spinning some mokume sheet - maybe over Christmas...

My favourite technique (at the moment lol) is foldforming. I made this necklace to look like honesty. Each piece was folded, and repeatedly hammered and annealed to get the shape - about 20 times each piece. It's very therapeutic if I've had a bad day!

There's a word from the past, Sonia. It does look like honesty, honestly. Dennis.

My favourite technique is silver reticulation, so here is my piece: Reticulated silver, laboratory created 7mm ruby set in 14ct gold, all hanging from a steel rope. This was commissioned this month for a 40th wedding anniversary, hence the ruby. My customer opted for the lab created ruby because all those I could find at this size were overpriced and not of good quality. Lab created ruby provides colour and clarity at half the price, and offers a great flawless contrast to the reticulated silver.

Congratulations Les, you are this months winner!

Thank you to everyone who entered this months competition, it has been a particularly hard decision this month because of all the beautifully executed techniques on show.

We have selected this piece because this reticulated surface has been very carefully produced and is really set off by the smooth tube fitting and setting, a beautiful piece indeed.

Please may you email georgia.benham@cooksongold.com with your account details and I will arrange your prize!
