My favourite technique is piercing, so here is a sterling silver mistletoe ring where all the leaves are individually pierced out of sheet and soldered onto wire to form the stem, then brought together as a bunch, leading off the heavy shank. Each tiny berry is melted from offcuts of wire. In this ring there are four little gold berries nestling in there too.

It is really good to see the variety of technique used by us jewellers, all in the line of beauty! :-)
Drool! I can see myself needing to get a commissioned peice from you Kim!

I have just realised that this piece is very similar to last months piece, but that one was a commission and I liked it so much I made another one, with the gold berries, which is this month's entry. I love what I do, so I don't often find it frustrating Dennis, however I did loose a setting down the plug hole today! Rushing to get pieces finished for a show on Friday. (Art Bazaar in South Molton should anyone be interested ;-) )
