Jannie, I would use hard solder for the bezel, then hard solder once again for the backing plate, then easy to solder on a ring shank or if you are making a pendant or charm use easy for the ring or bail. I prepared this progress photo sheet for you to see how I made a silver, set with an oval Lapiz Cab. Hard solder is good for multiple solderings, if you can get used to it. Sometimes I will use a paste made of rouge powder and water to paint early soldering joints so that they do not re flow when doing other soldering.
