    Default mouldy old dough...

    well clay, but you know...

Anyway I was keeping my PMC in two sealable bags in a jar of water to prevent drying out but it seems the two bags weren't water tight and I now have a sludge with black mould on it. Any suggestions for rescuing it?

Just let it dry out completely, and then reconstitute to the correct consistency with clean water. Ignore the mould, I have used mouldy clay and though unappealing to work with it did not suffer in the least once fired.

cheers m'dears. Though given the weather it will probably have a full blown mushroom on it before it dries out!
