Hi SJE, you're still into gold I see.

18ct white as commonly sold is rather grey like steel and I find it unattractive. I have read that Betts sell a lighter version containing palladium, but I have been unable to verify this on their site. http://www.bettsmetals.com/.

9ct white is more like silver in colour, with a slight yellow cast, which I like. It works much like silver and is very hard wearing.

    Regards Dennis.

    Cheers Dennis,

Personally not that mad about gold but if I get commissions for it I'll go for it! Especially never really seen the point in white gold to be honest but tis what the customer wants and sure I get to try a new material out I'm not sure what ct they want yet I just got a general enquiry but might try to steer them towards the 9ct.

Thanks for the link will sus it out now

Well, it tarnishes more slowly and is much harder wearing for rings if they are worn continuously. Dennis.
