Thank you James and Peter, I have now wasted half of my day watching you-tube videos of enamelling. I should have been:

1. building my new website
2. soldering some bangles
3. getting washing on the line
4. cleaning some copper prior to etching

I suppose it was informative but I'm a sucker for diversionary tactics
