Default Filigree and claw setting first attempt

Yesterday I attempted making my first claw setting, and decided I may as well try filigree at the same time - so combined both into a pendant. It took some time - I've never soldered so many joints on one piece before - but I'm pleased with how it turned out. Used a champagne CZ (5mm), plus square wire, 0.8 and 0.6 round wire. (Hoping posting these photos works - this is a first attempt too!)

Decided this will make a nice birthday present for my stepmum, as it's her birthday this month

Very nice, and a lot of work and love went into that. Dennis.

Wow, really lovely. I'm not that keen on the look of claw settings as a rule but it works so well with the filigree.
