    Default writing in silver art clay

    Hi

    Im still new to art clay, i am happy using now but don't no if when wanting to write names in weather u write when wet or when dry, and what is best to use to write with

    I'd let it get to that almost dry stage. If it's wet then it tends to squidge elsewhere and if it's bone dry then it is actually quite hard to scratch in, in my experience. You could write the name or whatever at the leathery stage, burnish when dry and then just clean up the writing before firing. I have used ink pen nibs, darning needles and pins. It all depends on what kind of effect you want.
