Heres my own take on 'spring time'

I had a similar idea only mine was a jack in the box clock.

I did a slightly different thing - I like insects hence the ladybird and dragonfly, so decided to go with a masked spring ball as my submission. direct and indirect light to show the texture. Stones are Diamonds on the ladybird and dragonfly and then sapphires for the rest of the piece.
