    Default anodising resists

    Hi,
I am trying to make a pattern using different colours on sheets of aluminium which have already been anodised. I would like to know if you can use bleach as a resist . Also has anyone tried masking tape ? How accurate is it for small precise areas ? And is Quink ink any good as a dye ? Thanks.

You can use many things to resist the dye. I've used sticky labels, masking tape and even stop out varnish. I've never used bleach and can't see how it would work. It would probably ruin your dye. I've never used Quink ink but it's worth a try.

anodised materials seem to be super of the moment, mind you I can see why as they have always fascinated me.

And you Carole are partly to blame for a new kiln and an enamelling starter kit XXXX

hmmm to be fair it is Tabby who is to blame for the starter kit hahahhah
