    Default Serious piece of kit!

I've just had delivered a guillotine from Axminster tools (called a sheet metal worker on their site). Unfortunately it's so massive that I'm going to have to get the floor and table reinforced and then get some strong men in to lift it!
I was so looking forward to using it and I'm not good at waiting

Can't you use it where ever it sits until you get your space sorted? Do a bit of off the floor guillotining

I've never seen this piece of equipment before, I guess I'm used to working out what I need and ordering sheet metal the right shape from cooksons, it would be awesome just to have a huge sheet of metal and make what you want when the design pops in to your head.

Is this the 750mm shear/brake/roll? Lovely piece of kit... I mustn't succumb (for now)!

It's so huge, I can't even get it indoors! It's sitting in its wooden box on my veranda. I'm not worried about it getting pinched 'cos they'd need a winch! I've got it to cut up the aluminium to make bangles. I tried the bench shear type but found I couldn't get long straight edges, so had to resort to this one. It'll be great once it's in and very reasonably priced for what it is too.

Yes, that's the one. I've tried it out before, so I know how good it is. I was a bit worried as the description says up to .7 metal but I phoned them up and that only means .7 steel. They think it would be OK with up to 1.3 silver.

Well I've finally got my guillotine working. We had to reinforce the table it's on by adding 6 extra legs and attaching it to the wall. Then I had to get 2 young bodybuilders in to lift it up. I really had no choice I'm afraid, it had to be done.
