Default Time for a drop of light machine oil?

For more than two weeks and getting worse, the forum has been very slow. Could Dave perhaps do his magic? Dennis.

I've been getting the annoying file hosting site opening up instead of the forum and the cooksongold.com website itself too. I had it a while back and it stopped, and now it seems to be back again. Fortunatley firefox stops the file host site from opening, and once I have closed down the tab the links to the fourm and cooksongold.com site open without further problem. Happens to me at work too, not just at home.

I'm so glad it's not just me.

It's so bad at times that I just give up.

Well it must have been a fluke George, because my stop watch says 10 seconds for each action. That means after logging in and finding the page, I've forgotten what I wanted to say. Dennis

sadly, it would seem it was a fluke. Back to a snail's pace now. I find it hugely frustrating as I try to make a point of reading all posts, but it's just taking too long to bother with at the moment.

How odd, this morning early the forum was not working at all nor indeed was the Cookson main site, but after a half hour it came back and since has been working just fine, pages loading as one would expect.

Edited to add Well for me at least.

Luckily I've not had any problems recently, but I normally log in at obscure times (I think!)

I thought we had got rid of that problem.. I've fixed it again. I'll keep an eye on the problem and have put things in place to try and stop it happening in the future.
Sorry for any inconvenience it has caused.
    Regards
    Dave
