    Good idea, I'll try that one. I've also demanded the registered company address before now, that has earned me instant hang-ups (but doesn't stop them).

    TPS only covers companies in this country and as so many companies use call centers from others it doesn't work often. As for payment protection policy calls my husband gave out information to one such caller (he's a pushover for these types of peopledespite me continually telling him not to do it) and we ended up with a huge bill... they apparently charge £100 for each one they complete and if the monies they get don't cover it you get the bill
