    Default My poor rolling mill

    Hello

My poor old rolling mill has some slight rust on its rollers (they are also looking a little dirty) is this the end of my rolling machine? I know the rollers can get regrounded so the rust is no more (how much does this cost?)

Any tips on what to use to clean the rollers without creating more rust? And what oil can I use on them when not using it?

    Many thanks!

Clare, Buy some fine Emory cloth, it comes in 12 inch sheets, cut a 12 inch length the same width as your rollers then polish the rollers by holding the ends of the Emory cloth while rubbing the whole length over the rollers to polish them, Emory cloth used as if you were drying your back with a towel after a bath, then I use some fine sewing machine oil rubbed over the rollers with an oily rag to Keep them from rusting. Another tip is to cover the mills with an old blanket when not in use.
