where can one get good diamond coated diamond drill bits?
Greetings!
Calling all experts in the forum.
I am fed up of forever using bead reamer to enlarge the tiny holes of small semi precious stone beads so that they could let 0.5mm wire go through.
the bead reamer is wearing out, my wrist is wearing out!
help! anyone?

it's still holiday season, the kids are at home. they just had breakfast at 12:00, n they were hungry again just now. well, I've taken care of that. Now, Peter, if I were not middle aged and ugly, I would have hugged and kissed you for that piece of information you've just given me. I googled diamond drill bits, but loads of junk like ebay came up. I don't know how you know what you know, but thank you, and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Eternal Tools are a very nice company - I also recommend their small files - especially the fine ones. They're amazingly good value for money.

I should like to add that if you are just enlarging existing holes, then Sutton Tools' tapered diamond points for flex shaft D1859.014 and D1859.015 will do the job in the same way as your reamer, but without the muscle. Use plenty of water or do it under water at medium speed, approaching first from one end and then the other. regards, Dennis.

Just an afterthought: if you motor has a big enough collet, then the small tapered bit from you reamer set could be used in it.

Dear Peter, the drill bits arrived this morning, and I am drilling like a woman possessed already. And I will definitely try Denny's suggestion later.
Thank you guys, where would I be without you.

Thanks, girls and guys, for this and all the other useful stuff on the forum. I might not post very often but I do read a lot and pick up so much useful information.
Might even get round to making something one day

Glad to hear that's working well for you
