Enamelling: how the heck do they do this?

Julian, there are enamelers and enamel artists. Take a look at my friend Keith Seldon's work, over the years Keith has enameled many of my pieces. this is Keith's website; http://www.keithseldon.co.uk/

Here is a job I made for him many years ago and he won the Cartier award ( the highest award given) for his enameling on this in a Goldsmiths Craft Council competition. The portrait is of the enamelers Alan Mudd and Keith Seldon back in the days when they were working together.
