    Default Best silver solder?

Okay answer may vary depending Your work. But when we take hard silver solder like ctd-500, its silver content is 67,1 %. Left is some % of copper and zinc (+?)?. I have found that hart silver content may be up to 76%. Can our experst say in which zn and copper combination solder flows best in category hart when we work with 925?

Do You have Your own silver solder recipes?

    Silver content
    CTC-500 mediun 74,1
    CTD-500 hart 67,1
    CTB-500 easy 67,1

I have to admit I've only once made up my own solder - for amusement rather than necessity. That was a silver & brass mix, and I've no idea what the proportions were.

Cooksons' enamelling solder is 81% Ag, while the hard is (as you've said) "only" 67.1%. For most stuff I just use hard; the only time I really tend to use medium or easy is for repairs where I can't be sure of the existing joins.
