    Hallmarking Chains.

I have not bothered before, but I am making a longish frothy hand made chain and have stated to wonder where you would put the hallmark. Is it in the centre of the last hole?

Dennis, I usually either include a large enough at the end to punch, or add a tag (attached with a soldered closed jump ring).

Thanks, George, I'll do as you say, but I'm a bit disappointed that you did not like my idea, regards, Dennis.

On similar lines, does anyone get things hallmarked that don't have to be? Basically things below the weight threshold?

I do Mel. If I'm sending a batch off for marking, I tend to chuck pretty much everything that's finished, or nearly finished in. It costs very little if it's part of a reasonably large number of pieces.

    50+ on a single hallnote.

I rarely send fewer than tbh.
