    Default Pleochroism

Possibly a daft question - does anyone know if CZs can exhibit pleochroism?

I wouldn't have thought so - (this is just guesswork though) isn't one of the things about CZs that they are almost too pure?

    I should read more carefully...

    Isometric minerals cannot exhibit pleochroism
Cubic zirconia is crystallographically isometric, an important attribute of a would-be diamond simulant.
So basically, there's no dopant can get them to show pleochroism cos then they wouldn't have the cubic structure.
