I can understand the pattern you want to do, but what's the question?

the question is what is the best way to set these stones?

can i get a 'ready made' piece, or can i get 'parts' -

theres a loose image of the end result... http: // picasaweb.google.com/buffyslay/Jewellery#

I would suggest that you adjust your ideas to the many ready made mounts at Cookson and other suppliers. Alternativel enlist the advice of a setter who might know of a source, or can do this by drilling and punching holes and then raising grains. Dennis.

The fella/fella-ess joined more than a year ago, so give them a chance, Dennis.

    You're right Dennis.

    I'm sorry Pennie.

I took the trouble to edit the photo link and it does work and point at a good visual description.

I've not seen any suitable off-the-shelf products for this so it will have to be a hand-made setting. Squares aren't easy to grain set, but perhaps you could channel set the squares and add claws for the four rounds (which could sit in the channel on their insides)? You could channel set the lot, but it would ruin the idea of round corners.

Regardless, this is an ambitious design.
