    Default Graphite Powder

This is going to sound really stupid, I was looking at an arts supplies catalogue and saw graphite powder, something tells me there is a jewellery use for it but I can'tfor the life of me think what it is. Anyone tell me? I also can't remember what I was actually looking for, as it was an old tab left from a previous search when the catalogue wasn't working, aint old age fun! Is that the online equivalent of what did I come in here for?

According to Tim McCreights complete metalsmith, you an also use graphite as pounce when casting.

Never tried casting myself so I don't know how useful it is.
