A while back I visited Inhorgenta in Munich and one of the gem dealers was offering pieces of meteorite. ‘Where is it from?’ I asked the lady. She pointed up above her head and said ‘Von hefn.’ So I asked ‘Yes, but which country?’ She called over a colleague and asked him ‘ Von wo ist das?’ So he pointed up at the sky and said ‘Von den Himmel.’ Finally they called over the boss and he said ‘Von Amerika… I sink.’
Well, it wasn’t much money and had novelty value, but when I brought it home, no one would wear it for fear of radiation. So I binned it and its final resting place is a landfill site just outside London.

There is a sequel. Yesterday on television a scientist demonstrated that when you macerate a fragment of meteorite, much older than Planet Earth, you can detect some precursors of our DNA. The Evolutionists say that this vindicates Darwin. The Creationists say that it supports Intelligent Design. But to me it just says that we all come from the stars. Dennis.
