    Default Hi from Pflugerville, Texas

Hi my name is Don. I have been into jewelery making as a hobby for over 30 years but have also been unable to be active in it for quite awhile. When I was active I worked in gold when I could afford it (not often) and Silver or nickel silver (much less expensive). I have some experience in lost wax casting, silver and goldsmithing, stone cutting/polishing and a little beading but have never tried metal clay.

I am also into computers, website creation, free programs, airguns, my 400cc Burgman maxi scooter and used to be into woodworking.

I am thinking about getting into metal clay if I can find a place to work. Now that I am retired I find my options for a work area very restricted. I have a garage but I don't pay for the electricity on it so I can't run a kiln there. I hope I can find a kiln that will work in my apartment office/wife's sewing room. I also am limited to the amount of flammable stuff I can do in the garage. I think I can get away with a little soldering and maybe an occasional steam casting but not much more.

    Hi Don
to the forum, as you're in the states then Tonya at wholelottawhimsey could
probably suggest a kiln that would work with a normal USA plug socket
I have the Paragon SC2 but the Caldera would also give you great bang for your buck!
