Hi there,

My name is Mary, and I'm from Wakefield in West Yorkshire. I've been making jewellery for just over a year. I met a local jeweller a while ago, and commissioned a stunning necklace from her as a 50th birthday present to myself, and in the process found out that she also gave lessons...

I have an awful lot to learn, but am really enjoying the process!

Welcome Mary, lots of members are away still, but hopefully will be back next week. The important things to learn are:
1. How to pierce and solder,
2. How to fit pins on the back of brooches,
3. How to fit earring posts, and
4. How to make rings that fit.
Once you can do these things it will be easier to go on by yourself. Don't buy any tools until you absolutely need them for the job in hand and have a look at my book of the year. Kind regards, Dennis.
