    Default Cufflinks

    Hi all,

Just thought I'd post some photos of the cufflinks I made my husband for our wedding. My instinct was to LOS them but hubby wasn't keen on that effect when I showed him something else so I left them shiney. If they'd been for anyone else....

Anyway, I was reasonably pleased with them - they were my first attempt at cufflinks!

They're "sweet"! How did you make the fronts?

Once I managed to find Lovehearts (who knew how tricky that'd be!) I picked the ones with clearest text and used them to make moulds out of siligum. There's probably a better way but it did the job!

Aha! Are they made from PMC then?

I think I might be a bit of a PMC snob, but they are as good as if you had had them cast.
I think I've drawn out the design of Love Hearts(somewhere on the pc) to engrave, and then started on something else.

Thank you - that really means a lot! I'd love to get to stage where I could make something like that from scratch. I probably could have spent even more time on the finishing but the text isn't that raised and quite thin. I was concerned that if I went too mad with the sanding I'd either rub it away or knock one of the letters off so I stopped before I did any damage!
