In Praise of LEDs.
Light Emitting Diodes use very little energy, so, to read in bed without waking your partner, a clip on book light with those in will dim more slowly than an ordinary bulb.
If, like me, you are prone to dropping findings and gemstones, an LED torch held parallel to the floor, with the other lights off, or the curtains closed, will easily pick out twinkly objects, even those you didn’t know you had lost.
When photographing finished work, if your gemstones are looking a bit dull, try adding sparkle with your torch. For a more permanent mains version ,electrical shops such as Ryness sell them with a flexible neck, to clamp on to your work top for about £17.These have twelve LEDs. You might find them cheaper elsewhere or on line. Dennis.

Thanks Dennis i will try them for photography, I need to get better pictures of my work. I bought battery LEDs for fairs where there is no electricity supply. Lighting does help with selling work
