    Default My new jewellery website!

    Hi all,

I've just launched my handmade jewellery site and would love to get some feedback on my work, I seem to be stuck as to where to find more inspiration so any ideas are most welcome!

I make handmade necklaces, handmade bracelets and handmade earrings.

    Visit www.gilliangladwin.com

    Many thanks,

    Gillian Gladwin.

The site looks very well laid out and it's easy to navigate but the pictures aren't doing the products justice.
(they seem a little dark and "flat" for such a professional looking site)
Pricing is good but I'd like to see more about the metals used e.g. the earrings have silver coloured
ear wires but theres no descriptor as to what the metal is and whether it's plated or sterling.
If it's silver plated a nickle free sterling option would be a good extra

really well laid out site,no messing around, but have to agree that the pics need slight brightening up.You might be able to use the ones you have already, just run them through picasa. I'm no photo expert though.

    Hello!
I have to agree with all the comments so far, brighten your images and put a bit more info on each item. I would want to know what metal things are made of as I'm allergic to some really stupid stuff, and maybe put in a little bit about yourself too. With handmade work people often want to know about the maker- it makes it all a bit more personal like buying from a person rather than a generic corporation! Thats just my humble opinion
Otherwise I think your work looks good, very saleable and the site is clean, simple and well planned out. Good going!!

Many thanks everyone for all your comments. I will look at brightening up the pics and put more detail of metals used etc. I am quite new to jewellery making (and have become quite addicted!) so I appreciate your comments. Thanks again. Gillian.
