Jewellery making courses

Hi All
I need some help. I wonder if any of you know where I can get a online jewellery courses ?
cos I'm looking to start a career in jewellery making. it need to be felxible. so that I can fit it in with my other part time job I have. I hope you can help. thanks

What sort of thing were you after SG? I thought you'd been studying silversmithing for over six years?

Can you be a bit more specific? Do you want a career as a designer? Or do you want to be a bench jeweller? If its the first then you would be better doing some kind of design degree, perhaps specifically in jewellery design or 3d design. If its the latter you would probably be better in some kind of "apprenticeship" with a jobbing jeweller or goldsmith......

yes I have bin studying silversmithing for 6 years but that was at my college which let me down very badly. I'm now wish to get a NVQ 3 if possible , if not then I will stick with just jewellery making......... if you see what I mean?

If you have been studying silversmithing for 6 years then I would have thought you wouldn't need to do another course. You say an NVQ, but what in and what sort of jewellery making do you want to do?

Can you actually do an NVQ in jewellery making online? Surely you need to be assessed "in action"?

I think you're right Lesley, looking online, the only NVQ available is in jewellery manufacture and they are all college based learning courses.
