    Default Knew Concept Saws

Just thought I should bring this to your attention ;-)

    knew concepts saws

Hello all...First, I want to apologize for barging in, but I have a problem that you might be able to help with.

To introduce myself, I am Lee Marshall, maker of the Knew Concepts saw that some of you are using (and enjoying). Thank you very much.

I have been trying (without success) to reach out to Cookson to talk about setting up a distributorship with them. Zero response! Can any of you reach out to them to make them aware of my interest? (It is probably a spam filter sort of thing).

As those of you that have purchased my saws directly know, the cost of freight is ridiculous! Setting up a distributorship relationship would be a logical business move, but without any response, I am at a loss to know what to do next.

I will be in Birmingham the 13th and 14th of August (staying at Crown Plaza) and would be delighted to meet any of you that might be in the area. Ideally, we could arrange a group time to meet for tea (or coffee for the Colonial).

    Thanking you in advance,

    Lee (the saw guy)
    Di x

Please Cookies, I would love to buy a Knew Concept saw but I don't want to pay double (through shipping and import/Royal Mail duties). You being a distributor would be brilliant!

There does seem to be a real buzz about this saw. Sounds like a great opportunity Cookies.

    The Emperor’s Knew Saw?
A saw is only as good as the blade and the arm that moves it. A frame with tension adjustment from Sutton Tools costs £9.95. The Knew Concepts Saw, sold in the USA for $45, even if imported in large quantities would retail here for at least £45. Plus VAT. So it would be a luxury item.
It is hardly beautiful, it’s fiddly to set up, but in use it is the Saw of Angels. Dennis.

I've got what's supposed to be a fab saw but still prefer the old one with the thumb screws at the side
it's just so quick to set up!
The knew concepts do look very swish though ~ do the red ones go faster?

*Kind of*, yes. I find mine more accurate in use, don't think I've broken a blade yet with them yet (even cutting some horrible 1.6mm stainless) and because I'm more able to split the scribe line with them, I have to do less clean-up afterwards. So less time all in all - although there's an obvious limit to how fast a sawblade can cut regardless.
