    Wrap the fine chain around a piece of 1" dowell then use the soft mop and some rouge, but dont use too much pressure and perhaps a little parrafin to smooth the rouge!!!

    I would recommend a brass brush with warm water and liquid soap. Wrap the chain around your hand and gently brush it.

    This brings up any chain to virtually brand new condition.

    I understand you mean a hand brush but just for safety sake I was always told "you will never have enough fingers to polish chain by hand" and I have witnessed the result when it all goes wrong, always wrap chain around wood not your hand!!

    I would do what All Simmo said - just wrap it around somthing and polish gently
