Red face A little about me

    Hi to everyone,
my name is Wendy and I am the mother of three teenagers, my middle child is mildly Autistic, the other two are Dyslexic and one is Dyspraxic, and they're all hormonal.I have arthritis so some days my hands are not so good but most of the time my hands are ok but I'm not very mobile. I've decided to make jewelery as I am good with my hands and need something for me, and I don't need to move around much to do it, also because I'm allergic to metal so can't wear costume jewellery some of which is so pretty, I started just putting cheap dangley earrings onto silver sleepers, then beads and charms on bracelets but that was not challenging enough and I had limited design input. I read some of the forum posts and saw some pictures of the fantastic stuff you have all made and I knew I had picked the right medium to work with, I'm learning from everyones comments and doing some courses as I can afford them, I would love to do a silversmithing course but haven't found one in my area, I have found Fired Silver through this forum which is great. So just to say Hi and Thanks for all the tips I've read

    Welcome to the forum Wendy.

From the time you posted - are you an (very) early bird or a night owl?

Hi Wendy and welcome. You'll be among friends here as several of us have children with autism, dyslexia or dyspraxia. My grown up son is dyspraxic but it didn't stop him being a high achiever, so there is light at the end of the tunnel!
