    Default Opera, Anyone?

On Saturday we went with our local group to the dress rehearsal of 'Tosca' at the London Coliseum. It is a stunning production, so if anyone is interested in a nineteenth century bodice ripper by Puccini, Here's where it's at.

I love opera too. I go to see the Welsh National every time they come to Southampton. A good friend of mine worked as an assistant orchestral manager at the Royal Opera house for a bit (maternity cover) and I got to see Carmen there, in a box, for free!! Somewhere amazing to see opera is at Grange Park in Hampshire. The building amazing! Its super expensive though (I certainly can't afford it- I was lucky enough to get to see a few dress rehersals a couple of years ago as another friend was a dresser there)

Thanks for the tip Dennis ~ I'm not a great fan of opera but I know a man who is My OH's on a business trip to Moscow and had to stay over for the weekend, so he got a ticket to see Rigoletto at the Bolshoi last night, it was only £22! Not heard how he got on with it yet.

I'm hoping for world peace but I'd also like something shiny as well...

I just got an e-mail from storypeople.com (I subscribe to their Free story of the day)
    Todays story made me giggle
My uncle told me once there were 3
rules for a great opera. Make it loud,
wear flashy clothes & if it's not going
your way, kill yourself. It has no basis in
reality, he added. That's why I like it.

    Thought you'd enjoy it too
