Default Advices and tips (very) welcome !

Well, I've finally received my anvil and sterling sheet (parcel was lost during 5 days in my post office !), I have a letter punch set and two nice punchs (a bee and a fleur de lys), copper sheet to practice and two hammers.
I never have done this before, just have seen some videos and read a few articles that's why I really would appreciate any tips and advices.
    Thank you very much !!!

Your bee and fleur de lys, once punched into metal, can also be carefully cut around with a fine saw and solderd onto a surface in multiples for decoration. For instance: a swarm of bees, or a row of the other. About a 4/0 blade, melt a little solder onto the back of your cut out, re flux and sweat it onto you new base. Have fun, Dennis.

Thank you ! Nice idea, I close my eyes and can easily imagine the result, but I'm a newbie whose best achievement has been to string beads in necklaces and bracelet, using ready-made sterling findings.
Soldering seems very interesting, thank you or the idea !
